Visitor Engagement Tracking
Why Engagement Data Matters
Conversion rate is the most important metric — but engagement data tells you the story behind it. Understanding how visitors interact with your page before they convert (or leave) lets you identify where improvements will have the biggest impact.
What Gets Tracked
Every visitor interaction is recorded anonymously:
| Event | What It Tells You |
|---|---|
| Page view | The visitor arrived and the page loaded |
| Scroll to 25% | They read at least the opening section |
| Scroll to 50% | They read past the fold — engaged with the offer |
| Scroll to 75% | Deep engagement — reading testimonials, details |
| Scroll to 100% | Read the entire page |
| Form started | They began filling in the form — strong intent signal |
| Form submitted | Confirmed lead |
| Button clicked | Which call-to-action got the most interaction |
| Phone link clicked | Direct call intent |
| Time on page | How long they spent before leaving or converting |
How This Appears in Your Report
The Overview section of your report uses this data to show you the full visitor journey, not just the end result:
- Scroll depth distribution — Are visitors getting past the headline? If most leave in the first 25%, the opening copy or offer needs attention.
- Form start rate — What percentage of visitors who arrived also started the form? A high visitor count but low form start rate suggests the page isn't compelling the right audience to act.
- Form completion rate — Of those who started the form, how many finished it? A drop-off here may indicate the form is too long or asks for information too early.
Page Speed
Your report also shows page performance scores — how quickly your pages load and how smoothly they respond to interaction. These are measured against Google's Core Web Vitals standards:
| Score | What It Means |
|---|---|
| 90–100 | Excellent — fast load, no issues |
| 70–89 | Good — minor improvements possible |
| Below 70 | Needs attention — may be affecting conversion |
Slow pages directly impact conversion rates and ad quality scores. If your page performance score drops below 80, we'll flag it proactively.
